These looks are some of my all time favourites, mainly because of the way I felt wearing them.
There are certain outfits that look great but are uncomfortable or can make you feel less confident, which is exactly the opposite of what fashion should do. I love a lot of prints, materials, textures and embellishments, which is again what these looks have in common (sequins, lace and pleats). They are all for different occasions, but equally girly which describes my personal style the best.
It’s really hard to pick just one most iconic look, simply because there are so many beautiful photos of the likes of Audrey Hepburn and Sophia Loren- as well as some gorgeous red carpet looks from Miranda Kerr, who I adore. But for some reason this Alexandre Vauthier gown which Rihanna wore always comes to my mind- it’s attractive and sexy yet very gentle and sophisticated. She did really well.
I try to learn from all of my fashion disasters, and since I am quite creative I always just about manage to get out of any big issues! I think in general the biggest fashion disaster is when you don’t feel good in the clothes you wear. I can remember so many examples from my teenage years when something kept bothering me- a strap that kept falling down, a top I had to make sure stayed in place- and those bits always make the whole outfit look much worse. I learned from those experiences and now only wear things I feel 100% confident in.
