Printed trousers: we contest, it’s love

We can’t lie- we rebelled for quite some time. Yes, we were aware of their insanely massive presence. It was clear they would fill a suddenly blatantly obvious gap in our current wardrobes- tailored yet comfortable, casual yet chic. We saw them on others, on our friends, our colleagues- and they looked GOOD. But yet- something held us back. They were EVERYWHERE. We kicked around in our dungarees and kimonos, pretending to be happy in our new season styling. In some respects, we were. And then, almost without our knowledge, they evaded. Creeping into our drawers, closets and wardrobes, they quickly found their way into our day to day looks- and our hearts. Worn with a silk top and heels, they took us from office to bar. Styled with flats they provided the perfect low-key weekend wear. Yes, after much procrastination, we finally contest- printed trousers, we’ve got a whole lotta love for you…

Work some subtle colour into the trend with this perfectly tailored Paisley pair from Team with a block colour t-shirt and flats for perfect lazy day cool- navy would work well for casual-chic or notch things up a step by pairing with bright orange or green. For a different approach, team them with an edgier piece; biker jackets and chunky boots both add extra style points to your favourite patterned slacks.

To work a more sportswear focussed vibe, plump for these silky fitted joggers from none other than good old Dotty P’s. But be warned- to keep things slick, wear only with heels. This ain’t Hammer time…
