Mossy makes it to a quarter century of rocking style

Bbraaap- say WHAT??! Kate Moss makes it to a quarter century in the biz- say it ain’t so? 25 years after being spotted in JFK airport, Mossy can still knock the socks off her younger contemporaries. No-one does grunge glamour quite like Kate, exuding charm and general fabulousness along the way. Famed for her humble beginnings, our favourite Croydon girl has notched up a fair few iconic fashion moments throughout her career. Opening for John Galliano in Paris aged 15? Yup, done. Appearing as a hologram for McQueen? Well, that’s nothing new for Kate. Even strutting down the Louis Vuitton runway in bondage boots is her regular walk in the park- in true Mossy style, she even did it ciggy in hand.

So many iconic moments…so many more iconic outfits. Swoon. We all have our favourites, looks we’d love to emulate if only we knew how… WELL. We do!! And we’re lovely enough to share.

Just because she’s held up as the poster girl for grunge chic, don’t think for a second that Mossy is averse to a dress or two. It’s the styles she chooses and how she wears them that make them work for her look. Maxis are a favourite to up the glam factor; keep the sex appeal by throwing in a high-as-you-dare split. And don’t forget a pop of colour- this yellow number from ASOS fits the bill nicely, as does this ultra glam River Island delight. Style with barely there strappy sandals for the full Kate effect.

For something more wearable, keep it short and sweet. A monochrome print is usually a winner, with both snakeskin and leopard print big KM favourites. This wrap dress from Mango can be thrown on after many a late night partying and is sure to look like you’ve made the effort. Dress it down with scuffed up ankle boots or for smart chic a la Moss, pair with black heels- but keep them high, hot and pointed. These Topshop beauts are just the right side of edgy.

Lastly, never underestimate the power of a well cut blazer. Whether paired with a sleek mini or t-shirt and jeans, it’s a fail safe addition to any Kate inspired wardrobe. This Reiss version is perfectly tailored and will cover a multitude of sins…
