The hats got bigger, the performances got saucier and Moss ‘The Boss’ is back on top! It was the week of the much-anticipated Grammys and news from both Queens’ had us in a major fashion frenzy…Oh boy, it’s been a good one!
The Grammys was all about the Queen of Music! Queen B rocked the Grammys in a super saucy performance with her other half. Although the performance had opinions divided, we think that B had unbelievable written all over her perfectly styled booty. Can this woman do anything wrong? Never.
Queen B’s outfit choice was not the only outfit under scrutiny on the night, multi-Grammy award winner, Pharrel Williams’s hat proved to be a publicity magnet. Yes, HAT… The oversized fedora stole the limelight, even managing to secure its own twitter account. Now that’s what we call a statement accessory and we have Dame Vivienne Westwood to thank! Is it the accessory of the summer? Perhaps not, but you rocked it Pharrell.
‘The Boss’ is back
From the Queen of Music to the Queen of Fashion, Kate Moss has secured the ultimate fashion campaign to celebrate her 40th birthday and 25th year in the industry. Transformed with an alter-ego makeover of mega McQueen proportions, Kate’s leather-clad, bronzed body is still at the top of the game.
The week of high fashion collaborations
The week of collaborations has to kick off with ‘Vicky B’. The trailer for Victoria Beckham’s collaboration with Skype has FINALLY been realised. The series will give us a unique behind-the-scenes look at the workings of her thriving label. After checking out the trailer, we cannot wait! Check it here.
On another high fashion note, the duo dominating high fashion land are set to get even bigger. With the first images of their collaboration with retail giant Target having just been realised, Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos of Peter Pilotto have also gone and secured themselves the BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund. We heard that we could also expect accessories from the duo in the near future, so it is looking like a re-birth of the statement accessory.
The duo’s Target collection, that has been a year in the making with the US retail giant, will for the first time be available internationally through Net-a-Porter. With punchy Pilotto prints for under £100, we predict a sell out, so get February 9th in your diary. Anyone else think 2014 is definitely their year? Hell yes it is, go guys!
